  Graham Redgrave Rust è nato nell'Hertfordshire nel 1942. Ha studiato disegno e pittura alla Scuola d'arte del Politecnico di Regent Street e si è poi specializzato alla Scuola centrale delle Arti e dei Mestieri di Londra e all'Accademia Nazionale d'Arte di New York. Per due anni ha lavorato come artista all'"Architectural Forum". la sua prima mostra è stata nel 1965 presso l'Accademia Reale. Da allora ha lavorato in Europa, Nord e Sud America, India, Grecia, Nord Africa e in Oriente. Nel 1968 ha trascorso un anno come artista alla scuola Woodberry Forest, in Virginia, negli Stati Uniti.
E' conosciuto in tutto il mondo per le sue pitture murali e sul soffitto che si trovano in abitazioni in Gran Bretagna, Europa a America; la più spettacolare, "La Tentazione" alla Ragley Hall, nel Warwickshire, ha richiesta una decina d'anni per essere completata.
I suoi disegni e acquerelli sono stati usati come illustrazioni in vari libri; in particolare il maggiore successo l'ha ottenuto "Il giardino segreto" ("The Secret Garden"), nel 1986.
Nel 1988 la sua collezione di disegni per opere murali è stata pubblicata ne "La casa dipinta" ("The painted house", ora stampato in quattro lingue.
Rust, che ha all'attivo 21 mostre, incluse quattro in aiuto della Società Reale del Commonwealth per i ciechi, vive e lavora nel Suffolk. Attualmente sta lavorando ad un libro sulle sue pitture a tema botanico.

Graham Redgrave-Rust was born in Hertfordshire in 1942. He studied drawing and painting at the Polytechnic School of Art, Regent Street, also the Central School of Art and Crafts in London and at the National Academy ok Art in New York. For two years he worked as an artist on "Architectural Forum" for Time inc. He first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1965. Since then he has been painting in Europe, North and South America, India, Greece, North Africa and the Far East.In 1968 he spent a year as artist in residence at Woodberry Forest School, Virginia, Usa.

He is internationally renowned for his murals and ceiling paintings which can be found in houses in Britain, Europe and America; the most spectacular of these, "The Temptation" at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, took over a decade to complete.
His drawing and watercolours have been used as illustration in various book, notably, the highly successful 1986 edition of "The secret garden".
In 1988 his collection of designs for murals was published as "The Painted House", wich is now printed in four languages.
He hives and works in Suffolk and has had twenty-two one-man exhibitions including four in aid of the Royal Commonwealth Society for the Blind.
